Shawn Michaels = 2-21-11
February 18th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
I haven’t seen anyone else mention this yet. Since everyone is convinced that The Undertaker is the person in the 2-18-11 videos, no one else could possibly featured in this series of promo clips. But without a shadow of a doubt it is Shawn Michaels. I have a Slingbox and TiVO setup at my folks house in Jersey. I tape every Raw, and watch the show on my projector/screen combination. Tuesday while watching Raw I noticed immediately that Shawn Michaels was in the video. I had watched it on YouTube previously but the video I’ve seen are too dark and pixelated (see below) to make the person out. So I’ve done my best to take a screen capture from my feed, to prove my point. Unfortunately due to internet lag, I haven’t been able to get a 100% clear shot, I tried to slow the feed down enough to see the image clearly, but I have been unable to do so. This is the best that I can currently offer:

Sorry the quality is pretty crappy, if nothing else, hopefully this will help you look for what I reference above.
Here is a version of the video on YouTube, too dark/pixelate to decipher much, and that’s how they like it.
Take into consideration the following, would the WWE make it so obvious that it’s the Undertaker? Seriously, we all know he’s coming back, so why keep it mysterious? The use of the Johnny Cash song, I wrote a few people on Wrestlezone regarding this, and no one seemed to pay attention. I guess they saw it as just another nut writing them to offer some stupid theory. Johnny Cash was an extremely religious man, people are focusing on the word grave, and forgetting that the song was previously used for Taker Vs. Michaels. Maybe it has more to do with the latter’s religious beliefs than the former’s character? Or a combination of the two? Also, if you’re able to see the video perfectly, examine the chin and stubble, and compare it to pictures of Michaels with stubble. Like this one:

The rumor is Taker Vs. HHH, what just for the hell of it? Really? So Sheamus lays him out, and he comes back to avenge Shawn Michaels out of the blue?
Vince McMahon has struck gold with two mystery plots that have the wrestling community up in arms trying to figure out who multiple people are. We’ve seen what the anonymous Raw GM has done to annoy people (or is that Cole’s role at the moment?), to get people to watch and see if we find out once and for all who the GM is. So here is my scenario Shawn Michaels, he appears on Monday, and challenge the Undertaker to a match. The catch is, he isn’t wrestling, but a mystery opponent will be fighting for him? From here to WM we see Michaels appear, give hints, tease the entire story line like they’ve done the past two years, but we don’t find out till right before the event in April who his opponent is. Gee what a thought, going over a month without a spoiler!
It would make sense, this would facilitate the entire HHH Taker match at WM, it would make more sense than having him come out of the blue and challenge him. Especially since he has unfinished business with Sheamus. I understand they’re wrestling at house shows, but that means nothing to 99% of the Monday night audience. Also, it will be practically impossible for this to be Steak Vs. Career…..again! HHH married to Stephanie McMahon, destined to help run the WWE once Vince steps aside, and he’s going to retire now? I could understand they limit his in ring role. But pack things in for good? Given his age, it doesn’t make sense, he’s still a draw. I still think we’re getting HHH vs. Sheamus in some type of a theme match (street fight, cage, etc.) at WM. Why kill off all of Sheamus’ steam? Then again, stranger things have happened (e.g. Nexus V1)
Maybe I’m just in denial, but until I hear Sting will not appear, I will hold out hope that (under my theory) he will be who Michaels uses to try and end Taker’s streak. Also, does anyone remember/realize that Michaels, and Sting have worked together before?
Did you know Sting interviewed HBK a few years back?
I’ve been wrong in the past, as have others (Daniel Bryan will not be at Summerslam for example), and most of what you read or hear out there is just conjecture from people that think they have connections! Some do….most don’t. If Sting does not appear, do they pursue him hard for Summerslam? McMahon has brought people like Scott Steiner and Matt Hardy back, all because of the audience wanting to see them. Again, stranger things have happened.
This weekend you’ll be able to get things going before Elimination Chamber by listening to Martyn Nolan, and myself discuss the pay-per view, add some music, and some other ramblings, and you’ll have episode 5 of the podcast. Look out for that at some point today, or tomorrow.
